Jared H. Garraux joined Richardson Plowden in 2007 as an associate in the Columbia office. His practice primarily focuses on construction law, including construction litigation, contract drafting and negotiation, claims resolution and avoidance, design professional malpractice, and insurance defense. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Garraux worked as an estimator and project manager in various construction disciplines, including highway construction, site development, heavy civil construction, and industrial construction.

Mr. Garraux has participated as a lecturer on South Carolina Building Codes and has participated in numerous other seminars related to construction law in South Carolina. He is active in the ABA forum on Construction, the Construction Section of the South Carolina Bar, and is currently the vice president of the Young Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys' Association. 

A native of Greenville, SC, he is a member of the South Carolina Bar and the Richland County Bar Association. Outside of the office, Mr. Garraux enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports and enjoying the great outdoors.
